==========================
1. SoftTALK 2000 for F5 beta release v1.92
A preview to the long-awaited SoftTALK
2000 is now available on http://cocoon-creations.com
in the form of a public beta release.
See the download section.
This beta release supports communication
to the F5 camera for HarTALK users.
The forthcoming commercial release
will include support for the F90/N90/F90X/N90s bodies,
and later also the F100 body will
be supported. SoftTALK 2000 includes a demonstration mode
which shows off its features should
you have no cable.
To current SoftTALK 98 users the forthcoming
commercial release means a face lift with a more
modern user interface, and to existing
users with F5 cameras and PC's it means Business.
2. SoftTALK 2000 translation policy
One of the big attractions of SoftTALK
98 to the non-english speaking world is the multi-lingual
approach. Previously the language
options were pre-compiled, but as from SoftTALK 2000 user
language files will be available
which may translated, tested, and eventually submitted to us for
download from our web site. We believe
this will drive the SoftTALK wave to reach many more
uni-lingual non-english speaking
customers.
3. HTFire remote control PalmPilot beta release v0.3
HarTALK has the much boasted about
HS-Serial protocol, thus far only utilized in the SoftTALK
suite of programs. Now it is also
available in the free Palm application HTFire. See the download
section on http://www.cocoon-creations.com.
This application allows fast remote
control of any supported camera, i.e.
F5/F100/F90/N90/F90X/N90s. The increase
of sales of HarTALK Palm connection cables
prompted our simple free Focus/Fire
remote control application running on the Palm III or Palm V.
4. HarTALK ELECSPEC release 5
ELECSPEC has been available from the
start of the HarTALK project, and has now been updated
with new images of the system, updated
info and test results of Palm remote control applications.
See the download
section on http://www.cocoon-creations.com.
5. HarTALK/SoftTALK faq updated to v0.95
The dated faq list 0.904 was updated
to version 0.95 recently, and is now available on our site.
As questions about the new products
are raised, it will be added to the faq list.
See http://www.cocoon-creations.com/COCOON-NiComm-FAQ.html.
The faq list is still in one large
document – it will be broken up into an easier reading multi-
document HTML format at a later stage.
6. Nikon Flash System LKF release v0.01
This is the beginning of a collection
of very technical public articles and tests on the Nikon flash
system. Admittedly it is rather short
still, but we plan to maintain this document and include test
results and other contributions from
the public. This is no faq list for the Nikon flash system, but
it is a drive to reduce some technical
flash system idiosyncracies to understandable public information.
Contributions are requested from the
Nikon community. See the download section
on
http://www.cocoon-creations.com.
7. Nikon Flash Bands release v0.01
An article on how to use double Nikon
flash systems on one camera. See the download
section
on http://www.cocoon-creations.com.
